Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate is a complex but simple report generator. To render reports, Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate uses a software engine. You can build simple reports. You can build complex reports. Any report can be built precisely and quickly. The engine of the reporting tool is not only powerful but also very functional it includes a huge variety of components: charts, olap-cubes, tables etc. and each component is enriched with multiple properties.
Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate Viewer
As a part of Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate several different report viewers are included. Eight report viewers are available. Users can use native support for showing reports both in WinForms and in WPF. Viewers may have the Ribbon UI or the standard one based on the toolbars. There are also viewers to print with a simple and dot-matrix printers. You can use the Web viewers using Ajax technology, or using Adobe Flash Player. All available report viewers use the same principle of interface structure. All report viewers use the same file format. You do not need to convert reports or copy them. Once a report is created, it should work everywhere.
Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate Designer
Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate includes three report designers: WinForms , WPF and Web. They all work with the same file formats. New themes
In previous versions of Stimulsoft Reports.Wpf only one theme was available. It was the black theme. Now Stimulsoft have added the following new themes: Office 2010 White, Office 2010 Blue, Office 2007 Blue, Office 2007 Silver, Office 2007 Black, Office 2003 Blue, Office 2003 Silver, and Office 2003 Olive Green. New themes are available in the report viewer and in the report designer.
Report wizard
The following report wizards are added: Standard Report wizard, Master-Detail wizard, Label wizard, Cross-Tab wizard and Chart wizard.
Drag&Drop support
In version 2010.1 Stimulsoft have added full support of Drag&Drop operations. They are supported in the report dictionary, report tree, toolbox. Also Drag&Drop operations are supported in the text editor and expression editor, when dragging the elements from the report dictionary on a page, etc.
Report checking
The ability to check a report for problems was added in the product. The report checker does not only inform you about the errors of compilations but provides multiple recommendations, messages, advice, and warnings about fixing the problems. In the new version of the product, Stimulsoft introduced a new type of item in the data dictionary. It is the Business Objects. Now working with the Business Objects can be done directly, without the performance decreasing and problems with conversion.

Now the product completely supports the PDF/A format. PDF/A is a file format for the long-term archiving of electronic documents. It is a subset of Adobe PDF. PDF/A must follow certain rules including following color management guidelines, using embedded fonts for rendering, and making annotation content available to users..
New primitives
In the new version of the report generator you will find multiple new primitives. All primitives are available for the Shape component. In addition to updating the Shape component Stimulsoft also updated HorizontalLine and VerticalLine components. New StartCap and EndCap properties are added. They provide an opportunity to change the style of the start and end lines in the report.
Report parameters
Variables have a new Request from User property. If you enable this property, then, when you show a report in the viewer, the report generator will automatically display a special form that is used to output the value of this variable.
ProcessignDuplicates improved
Stimulsoft have extended the features of the ProcessingDuplicates property of the text component. Three new values have been added: BasedOnTagMerge, BasedOnTagHide, and BasedOnTagRemoveText. New values are different from previous ones. They use values of the Tag property as the key for processing but not the Text property of the text component. This enhancement provides the ability to specify compound keys, which will be used for components processing.
Table component and free placement
In the previous versions of the reporting tool, the Table component was placed as a band. In other words it was always docked to the top of the report page. Stimulsoft have added a new DockableTable property. If you set this property to false, then you may place the Table component anywhere in your report. This feature extends the potential of the Table component.

Sorting of group by summary
Now includes new properties to sort a group by its summary. These are SummarySortDirection - the direction of sorting, SummaryExpression - an expression for calculation of summary, SummaryType - a function type of summary calculation.
Configurations on the properties panel
When you first run the designer, it is hard to understand all the properties of the components in the properties panel. To simplify this task, Stimulsoft added configuration options in the property panel.
Conditions and styles
You can now select formatting options for conditions. Now the selected style is stored and used later for report generation. So it is enough to change the style and the formatting condition options will be changed too.
Conditions and borders of components
Now you can change the borders of components, depending on conditions.
New data adapters
The new version provides two new data adapters. The first adapter is designed for dot Connect Universal provider. The second adapter is designed for accessing an MS Access database. The adapter is built into the report engine and can be used without additional configuration.
New barcode
The full name of the barcode is Royal TPG Post KIX 4-State. This barcode is used for postal purposes in the Netherlands.
New tool - Import.Rtf utility
The tool provides the ability to import files in RTF (Rich Text Format) format to Stimulsoft Reports format.

Super tooltips for WPF report designer
The new version of the report designer now shows super tooltips for each control.
New HTML tags
The list of supported tags has widened with two new tags: and . Tags work in a text component if the AllowHtmlTags property is enabled. The tag works the same as the tag. The tag defines the text paragraph.
Showing tabs in the report designer
In the new version you can show or hide tabs for viewing reports or the code tab in the report designer.
Business Objects and Charts
In previous versions of the product it was not possible to use data from business objects when creating charts. This lack of functionality was corrected in the new version. Data from business objects can be used along with data from data sources.
Printing in Silverlight
The previous version of the report viewer for Silverlight supported printing only via exporting a report to the Adobe PDF format and then a report could be printed from the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The new version of the report viewer now supports printing using built-in Silverlight facility. This extension allows printing the report without using Adobe PDF format. Old and new printing methods are available from the drop down menu when clicking the Print button.
New Themes for Silverlight
It is now possible to use four new interface themes in the designer and report viewer for Silverlight: Office 2007 Blue, Office 2007 Silverlight, Office 2010 Black, and Office 2010 Silverlight.
Editable fields in Silverlight reports
The report viewer for Silverlight now supports editable fields. Editable fields can be edited directly in the report viewer. You can use this function for a text component or a checkbox component.
Charts in Silverlight reports
It was possible to use charts in reports when the Silverlight was used as a part of the client-server configuration of the report generator. However, the chart could not be used in Silverlight applications without a server. Now this issue is solved.
Encrypted data exchange in Silverlight
The new version of the report generator encrypts the data exchange between client and server. This will increase the safety of the viewer and the report designer in Silverlight.
Pages by request in Silverlight
In the first version of the report viewer for Silverlight, the report was loaded on the client entirely using a single query. This mode of transferring of reports was not very good when the report is large. Therefore, Stimulsoft have added a new feature. This is the PageLoadingMode in the StiWebViewerSL component. By default, the entire report is downloaded. But this behavior can now be changed.
HTML Tags in WebViewer.Fx
Stimulsoft have added support of HTML tags in WebViewer.Fx. Tags for setting text color, font face, and font style are available. This allows showing reports more fully in the Web environment.
Full screen mode in WebViewer.Fx
Now you can view reports in full-screen mode. This mode can be run with pressing the button in the Control Panel of WebViewer.Fx. To exit this mode simply press the Escape key or click Close.
Html Tags in Designer.Web
Designer.Web can now show some HTML tags. These tags are for setting text color, font face, and font style.

Sorting of groups by summary - Added three new properties that let you sort a group by its summary. These are SummarySortDirection - the direction of sorting, SummaryExpression - an expression for calculation the summary and SummaryType - the type of summary calculation
Configurations on the properties panel - There are three configurations: Basic, Standard and Professional. Depending on the configuration the number of visible properties of components is changed. In the Basic configuration only simple properties are visible. In the Standard configuration almost all the properties except the most complex or rarely used are displayed. In Professional configuration a complete set of properties is shown. Selecting the type of configuration occurs when you first run the report designer, or from the context menu of the properties panel.

Highlight Styles - The selected style is now stored and when style parameters are changed, design parameters and conditions are automatically updated.
Applying Parameters in Styles - In the new version of the condition editor, it is possible to specify which appearance parameters to use, and which not to use.
Improved the RequestFromUser option for variables - Now, using this option, the process of data request from the user can be greatly extended. It is possible to request not only simple values but nullable values, lists of values and value ranges.
Condition - Data Bar - Added a new Data Bar condition type to increase the quality of visual presentation of information. Condition - Icons Set - Icon Set is a new type of condition to display graphical information in the text component. When using this condition, the report generator analyzes values in this column. The data is divided into ranges. Each range has its own icon. This condition is perfect for graphic reflection of the trends, the criteria of growth and decline, performance of various indicators. This condition can be used only for text components.

If, when dragging a component, its border crosses the band border, then you will be prompted to automatically dock the component to the left or right side of the band. The size of components already placed in the band will be taken into account.
Wizard for Replacing Components - If you drag any field from the data dictionary to an existing component on a page, a replacement component wizard will be invoked. It offers options for adding or replacing the content of an existing component on data from the data dictionary.
Report Wizards in Silverlight - The previous version of the report designer for Silverlight, did not provide the ability to create reports using the Report Wizards. In the new version this omission was corrected. The following Report Wizards are added: Standard Report, Master-Detail Report and Label Report.
Styles in Dialogs - All controls now have the ComponentStyle property which is used for indicating a style. New styles can be created in the editor style.
Rotating Charts in a Report - The property allows rotating of a chart 90 degrees clockwise or anticlockwise; rotating a chart 180 degrees and flipping a chart either horizontally or vertically.
